On May 16 — 18, International Air Transport Association (IATA) Cabin Operations Safety Conference in Doha brought together more than 200 representatives from the aviation sector, to discuss and share cabin safety practices.

Hosted by Qatar Airways, the event focussed on topics such as next generation training, human trafficking and communication with passengers.

Further demonstrating its sustained commitment to safety and security improvement, the carrier, together with Hamad International Airport, recently held an annual emergency exercise, coordinating with the country’s Defence Forces, Coast Guard, Civil Defence and Hamad Medical Corporation.

After completing the IATA Operational Safety Audit  with 100 percent compliance in 2003, Qatar’s flag carrier has won many awards for its safety and security.
