New York Welcomed 12.3 Million Global Visitors

NYC & Company announced that 2015 was the sixth consecutive year of record-breaking tourism for New York,

with the destination having welcomed an estimated 58.3 million visitors, out of which 12.3 million were international travellers.

Moreover, even with the nearly 6,000 new rooms added to the city’s hotel inventory in 2015, demand resulted in a four percent year-on-year growth, with a record 33.7 million guest nights.

“The city continues to evolve, [...] with more new developments on the horizon.

However, with the continuing pressure on the global economy and the strengthening [US] Dollar, we will all need to work even harder [this year] to sustain our competitive edge,” said Fred Dixon, president, NYC & Company.
