The number of Indian tourists travelling to the GCC is expected to increase 81 percent from 5,4 million in 2018 to 9,8 million in 2024, growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 10 percent, according to the latest data published ahead of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2020.

Russian tourists travelling to the GCC are expected to generate an estimated USD1,22 billion in travel and tourism revenue by 2023, an increase of 19 percent when compared with figures from 2018, according to data published ahead of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2020, which takes place at Dubai World Trade Centre from April 19-22, 2020.

Arabian Travel Market 2020 (ATM) has launched a new series of buyer forums and networking events focused on India, Saudi Arabia, China and Russia’s growing outbound potential, as GCC travel and tourism companies and destinations look to attract a larger share from these major source markets.

With a focus on specialisation, business and professionalisation, the next edition of FITUR, the International Tourism Fair organised by IFEMA, on January 22 – 26, 2020, at Feria de Madrid, presents its strongly enhanced B2B meeting programmes.

These are the FITUR B2B MATCH agenda for tour operators’ and agencies’ international buyers, and also the agenda specialising in incentive tourism, meetings and business travel namely, FITUR MICE.

Both programmes have proved to be an effective tool, bringing together a large amount of business activity during FITUR’s business visitor days.

This is evident in the figures from the last edition at which, within the scope of these two programmes, more than 9000 B2B meetings were held with buyers from all over the world.

The FITUR MATCH platform, which will be available on January 23 – 24, 2020, will put the participating companies in contact with a total of 140 professionals (managers of travel agencies and tour operator companies) from consolidated markets and emerging areas, the latter with a special focus on the MENA region, China and Russia.

To prepare the programme, FITUR has worked with different sources in the tourism industry and with IFEMA’s network of delegations and Marketing Offices that operate in more than 28 countries.

And for meetings, incentives and business travel tourism, a growing business segment and key to the tourism industry, the FITUR MICE specialist programme will bring together, January 22 - 23, representatives of a hundred MICE tourism providers with 120 qualified buyers from around the world.
